SHOE DRIVE FUNDRAISER
The Northfield Haven (an apartment community here in Gering for independent special needs adults) is participating in a fundraiser to collect SHOES! They are looking to accumulate 5,000 pounds of shoes by August 1st. Please consider donating your gently worn/used or new shoes, whether they be athletic, dress, casual, boots, sandals, or sneakers. Please pair shoes by either tying the laces together or using rubber bands. Drop off shoes in the box in the upper gathering area here at Christ the King. For large donations, please contact Betty to schedule a pickup at either 672-3896 or northfieldhaven@gmail.com. If you are looking to clean out your closet, now is the time!
THANK YOU to all of you who have helped with the deluge of funerals as of late! Your helping hands have made light the load, especially in the kitchen. Whether you have served lunch to mourning family members or brought food to be served, we so appreciate your generosity! For those of you who brought food – please remember to stop by the kitchen and retrieve your lovely dishes! We do not have room to store them and we are certain you would like them back.
